A major UK food and drink manufacturer has conducted a ‘future size and shape’ strategic study with the help of Model Logic’s network design team.
Using the Supply Chain Guru network modelling suite from Llamasoft, Model Logic has conducted a full end-to-end supply chain analysis covering raw materials collection, production, warehousing, inter-site transport and final delivery to customers’ stores and RDCs.
A wide range of scenarios were considered which allowed a thorough evaluation of future options for manufacturing capacity, distribution infrastructure and vehicle fleet size and composition.
